Jessica Monique Myrie is a multi-talented Canadian award-winning actress with impressive credentials in award-winning films. Jessica won best actress for her first starring role in the short She Waits from the International Black and Diversity Film Festival. She also won Best Actress for her second starring role in the film Irreconcilable Differences at the inaugural Canadian Black Screen Awards and Best Actress at The Toronto Nollywood Film Festival. She has guest starred in the television Peacock Original series Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol and the Canadian Screen Awards nominated web series I Hate People, People Hate Me. Jessica has appeared in numerous national and international commercials, print advertisements and voiceovers. She has trained at LB Acting Studios, EVN, Kim HurdonCasting and Second City. In addition to acting training Jessica has a diploma in Advertising and Marketing Communications and Journalism Print & Broadcast from Humber College. Born in Toronto, Ontario to parents of Jamaican origin, from an early age she wanted to become an actress and was performing in school talent shows and that’s when she discovered her love for performing arts. When she is not acting Jessica hosts and does interviews at community events, she is a guest speaker on panels where she discusses her acting journey and experiences. Jessica enjoys travelling, discovering new restaurants, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
