Vica Pelivan
Non Union
Vica Pelivan has been in a long pursuit of acting in desire to explore the essence of all human life. Acting allows her to study different circumstances, wants, needs, struggles and values of people from all walks of life. She is obsessed with observing life around her and living courageously. Her art is mainly fueled by her croatian culture, her many animals and her shaman father and her strong mother.
She had the honor to play Lord Foppington in The Relapse directed by Jeannette Lambermont-Morey. Her extravagant, soulful and comical performance was a big hit, making the audience laugh out of their seats every night. Unlike Foppington, her role of Bernice in The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble, directed by Tanisha Taitt left the audience in tears throughout the scene where she had a delicate job of portraying symptoms of early dementia.
Vica graduated from George Brown Theatre Collage where she trained in Alexander and Meisner Technique, classical text, contemporary works, movement work, voice work and speech work. She has been training for the last 10 years with many professionals in the Canadian as well as Croatian industry. Some of them include: Marie Farsi, Peter Pasyk, Evan Builing, Kwaku Okyere, Kostadinka Velkovska, Ksenija Prohaska, Aaron Willis and many more.
When she is not acting she is giving acting classes and trains independently to become a director.
