Lisa Stevens is a highly skilled, intuitive intimacy professional with a gift for creating safe, collaborative spaces in film, television, theatre, and opera. With over 35 years of professional experience as an Actor, Dancer, Director, and Choreographer, she brings a natural ability to express a narrative through both physical and emotional storytelling.
As an Intimacy Professional, Lisa’s expertise ranges from high-profile productions like Christina Aguilera’s Burlesque (West End, London ), Come From Away (Paper Mill Playhouse), and Atom Egoyan’s feature Seven Veils with Amanda Seyfried, to tv series such as Warner Brother’s Brilliant Minds, and Netflix’s The Next Step. She also enjoys working on independent films, proof of concepts, and verticals. Lisa’s work encompasses simulated sexual content, sensitive topics involving race, violence, and cultural intimacy, as well as complex multi-person choreography. Lisa is renowned for her calm demeanor and her ability to build trust and connection with actors and crew alike.
An International Emmy Award nominee and a member of UNESCO’s CID, Lisa has collaborated on numerous artistic projects, including Dolly Parton’s presents 9 TO 5 the musical! (West End, UK, US, Australian companies ) as Choreographer; Get Down Tonight – The KC and The Sunshine Band Musical (West End, London) as Director/Choreographer; and numerous productions for Disney Theatricals in NYC, London, and Australia. Her work can also be seen in the feature Fear Street – Prom Queen (Netflix), Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2, and CBC’s perennial favorite, and the Intl Emmy-nominated musical doc Dreaming of A Jewish Christmas.
As an educator, Lisa is on faculty with AMDA NYC (College of Performing Arts) and consistently speaks on Consent & Boundary Practices for the Canadian Opera Company, the University of Waterloo, St. Lawrence College, and Universtiy of Toronto.
