Peter da Costa
Founder, Agency Director
Peter da Costa has always possessed the innate ability to craft his own destiny. Driven by foresight and ambition, he established da Costa Talent Management. Over the course of 25+ years, he has steered it to be recognized among Canada’s top talent agencies. Founded in Toronto and now also flourishing in Vancouver, the agency boasts an expansive reach and a culture of support and growth which plays a pivotal role in ensuring every talent on their roster feels valued, understood, and primed for success.
Deeply involved with and supportive of his team in both locations, Peter remains hands-on while also scouting emerging opportunities in the industry. These pursuits promise a future of continuous evolution for both the agency and its clientele.
An entrepreneurial spirit by nature, Peter is perpetually on the lookout for ventures that leverage his vast industry experience, especially in creation and production. In 2011, his innovative spirit led him to co-found Show Choir Canada. Recognition for his dedication was swift; by 2015, he secured a Canadian Screen Award for the evocative documentary, Unsung: Behind the Glee. 2016 witnessed Peter’s venture into Podium Concert Productions, producing stellar adaptations of The Secret Garden, NINE, and Broadway Nights with Brooke Lynn Hytes to significant acclaim.
Peter is a voting member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. He is also passionately developing a new television series, optimistic about its potential.
“Over the past 25 years, the legacy we’re building stands out not just because of milestones achieved, but because of the genuine dedication of my team. Their tenacity and care for our clients truly sets the gold standard.”
