Jen Cohen
Director of Digital Strategy and INFLUENCER Division
Jen is thrilled to join da Costa Talent as their Director of Digital Strategy and Influencer Division. She is a graduate of Emerson College’s Master’s degree program in digital marketing and data analytics where she received the exemplary achievement award from the faculty. She also graduated George Brown College’s Social Media Certificate program and most recently has completed a management level program at Rotman Business School at UofT in Business Analytics. Founder of The Social Ladder, a social media marketing agency, Jen has a passion for working with artists and arts organizations in the digital space.
With a unique background that crosses over to corporate, Jen has produced live entertainment for many companies including Hyundai, Microsoft, Tourism Toronto, Save The Children Canada, Ontario Government, OLG, MLSE, Toronto Raptors, Pfizer, Labatt Breweries of Canada, Telus and OPG to name a few.
Jen has a history as an award-winning director and choreographer, dramaturg and writer. After an early start full time at The National Ballet of Canada, she went on to graduate from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (summer program) and the Lyric and Book Labs at NMI in L.A. She is an alumnus of The Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals, the ASCAP Stephen Schwartz Workshop and Interlochen Centre for the Arts in Michigan where she is also currently on the Board of Directors of CFI. Jen has worked for most of the major theatres in Toronto and has been nominated for the Siminovitch Prize in Directing, the Ockrent Theatre Directing Fellowship in NY and multiple Dora nominations including the award for Best Production of a Musical for A Year with Frog and Toad at YPT. A fun fact is that she also has worked in talent acquisition for the Toronto Blue Jays, casting their live entertainment for more than 20 seasons.
With her well rounded and unique background in the arts, the corporate world and the digital space, she is excited to bring her experience to da Costa’s incredible talent roster to build their new creator division.
