In 2023, Rochelle made a compelling return to the screen in Paul Persic’s short film LiChun, portraying the matriarch of a family in turmoil. Working with minimal direction, she brought a grounded emotional presence and natural authority to the role, demonstrating both instinct and versatility as a performer. Originally filmed in Chinese, the production also required Rochelle to participate in English-language voice work, highlighting her adaptability across languages and performance mediums. Her work in Li Chun was recognized with the Outstanding Short Film Actress Award at the 25th Anniversary ReelWorld Film Festival in October 2025.
In 2026, Rochelle appears in Timothy Moran’s The Pretty Lotus, portraying the owner of a family-run nail salon whose livelihood is threatened when a racist customer manufactures a false health scandal. As her character faces the potential loss of everything she and her family have built over a lifetime, the film follows her daughter’s determined fight to expose the truth and protect their legacy.
Rochelle’s career in the entertainment industry began with the Benxi City Drama Company in China, where she initially worked as a background performer before advancing to Key Makeup Artist. Her curiosity and creative ambition soon led her behind the scenes, where she developed expertise in custom prosthetics, wig design, and special-effects makeup. This technical foundation gave her a distinctive understanding of character, transformation, and visual storytelling, while her work across film and television expanded her experience within the industry.
Today, Rochelle brings that breadth of experience to her acting, combining aninstinctive understanding of character with a deep appreciation for the craft of filmmaking.
