Jola Williams Choo

Non-Union

Jola’de Williams Choo (Jola) is an award winning competitive dancer who trains and specializes in Modern, Contemporary, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Acro, Lyrical, Jazz, and Commercial. She recently performed in a National Commercial.
A high school student, Jola attends a performing arts school, and dances at Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance (SBAD). She is currently enrolled in the Conteur Mentorship Summer Program. A natural born dancer and performer, she has been dancing since the age of three. Jola has performed works by choreographers’ Jade Joan, Eryn Waltman, Rebecca Zizek, Sarra Freedman, Josh Lamb, Linda Garneau, Corey Gayadeen, and Martha Nichols to name a few.

A stand-out in dance industry workshops, and conventions; she is often “called out” to perform guest instructor’s combinations in front of large classes due to her ability to quickly learn, and execute complex combos with spirited charm, and personality. Described as “Tiny and Mighty,” and “Very Watchable” on and off stage, Jola cuts an impressive figure. With her chameleon-like ability to capture, and convey complex emotions on stage, she is equal parts persuasive, and believable. Jola brings discipline, a can-do spirit, and tons of infectious energy to each and every performance. She is professional, bright, funny, enthusiastic, and a supportive team player all while being super committed to the craft. Jola exudes an air of gratitude, and is grateful to be able to share her love of acting and dance with all. Jola has learned from some of the best teachers in the industry, and she credits them with building her into the dancer she is today.
