Grant O’Neill

Non-Union

Grant O’Neill is a multidisciplinary artist hailing from Kingston, Ontario. Always the performer, he started taking ballet classes at the suggestion of a primary school teacher and never looked back.

Dancing since he was 7, Grant trained in R.A.D, and ADAPT syllabi and spend 3 summers training with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet school professional division. Dance introduced the world of musical theatre, which combines his passions for singing and movement. He trained for two years at Sheridan College in musical theatre performance, and a year at St. Lawrence college. Grant is a true triple threat performer and has had the privilege of working abroad for the Walt Disney Company. Working first as a dancer at Tokyo Disney Resort and most recently, he played Olaf in Frozen aboard the Disney Fantasy, which allowed him to gain expertise in full-body puppetry. Other credits include Rolf in The Sound of Music, Mike in A Chorus Line, and We Are Canadian at the Charlottetown Festival.

In addition to his love for musical theatre, Grant is also passionate about dance education. He began teaching dance at age 17 and has extensive choreographing experience and achievements. Recently, Grant had the pleasure of travelling across Canada as the dance competition host/emcee for Summit Dance Challenge.

When he isn’t performing, you can find Grant in his workshop crafting pieces for his woodworking business, Ginkgo Woodworks, or travelling with his girlfriend Kaelin. With Stephen and DaCosta Talent on his side, Grant feels excited and ready to make his mark on the Canadian industry.
