Lucy Ye is a Chinese actress based in Toronto. Born in China, she is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin. She moved to Toronto at age 4 and was raised there for most of her life. Lucy began her acting journey through background work, where she learned to navigate the industry and gain experience on set. Being on set captivated her, emphasizing her passion and ambition to make greater contributions to the film industry.
She obtained her training at Armstrong Acting Studios, where she started learning to analyze scripts and break down characters. She also received training in on-camera acting, which subsequently enhanced her skills.
Her passion and love for acting led her to sustain multiple lead roles in both commercials and films. She is seen in films such as Strawberry Sunrise as Sai, Rotten Child as Lydia, and Be There as Audrey. She is also notably cast in a Canada Life commercial as a lead. Outside of acting, Lucy contributes to artistic creations. She does paintings, sketches, and crochet. She is also skilled in martial arts, where she started doing taekwondo at the age of 9 and is now a 3rd-degree black belt.
Growing up, Lucy was always immersed in the film world. She believes in harnessing your opportunities, as even one of those opportunities could change your life. Bringing her to be wary of finessing her every chance of pushing her creative drives.
