Airi Okamoto

ACTRA Apprentice

Airi Okamoto is a Japanese-born, Toronto-based actor, dancer, and choreographer. She studied acting and the Stanislavsky method at Rikkyo University in Tokyo, earning a degree in modern psychology with a focus on performance, and later graduated from Centennial College’s Dance Performance program in Canada. Seeking new challenges, Airi moved to Canada to expand her work across different performance platforms. 

Her work spans screen, stage, and live performance, with credits including Pachinko (Apple TV+), How to Teach Yourself Solo Dancing (University of Toronto’s Festival of Original Theatre), Canadian Dream (Bash FX), Global Bollywood (Pratibha Arts), Liam: The Musical (No Strings Theatre), and Okuni Through the Misty Clouds / Three Sisters Who Are Not Sisters (Shadowpath). 

Airi is passionate about combining movement, acting, and storytelling to bring meaningful characters and stories to life on stage and screen.
