Tainui Kuru

Tainui is an actor, singer, musician of indigenous Maori decent from New
Zealand. He studied a Bachelor in Music Theatre at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts in New Zealand, earning the degree prize for outstanding achievement and commitment to studies.
Tainui has enjoyed performing as both a solo vocalist and guitarist
with bands for audiences as far as Australia, USA, Japan, South Korea and
China. Tai is now a permanent resident of Canada after moving to Vancouver
in January 2020. He has since toured Canada twice with ‘Music of the Night’,
songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber and ‘Relive the Music’, Hits of the 50’s and
60’s. Tainui relishes opportunities to work alongside likeminded artists who
work hard to grow themselves and their craft.
Musical theatre highlights include leading roles in Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, H.M.S Pinafore, Cats, Grease, Guys and Dolls, Saturday Night
Fever, Cinderella, Parade and Ring of Fire. Tai continues to pursue opportunities in both Vancouver and London, UK.
