Liam Cardinell

Liam Cardinell (he/him) is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Fergus, Ontario. He  is passionate about all things related to performance and is always excited to explore new  ways to share stories with new audiences. Since discovering his passion for the performing arts at age 7, Liam has spent many years diversifying his experience across the performing  arts industry and continues to search for opportunities of collaboration and growth.   

Liam’s formal training comes from his time in Centennial College’s Theatre Arts and  Performance Program. There he studied a wide variety of techniques with a heavy focus on the Grotowski method, and Mary Overlie’s Six Viewpoints. After his time in the program, and graduating with honors, Liam continued his learning through several workshops in  Toronto, and continues to search for these opportunities to keep expanding his portfolio.   

Liam focusses on an approach that welcomes the audience into the world of the story. He  loves to make the audience feel seen and feel like they are a part of the journey together.  He has been described as a warm, welcoming presence on stage, and has a natural ability  to connect with people on a very human level. Often found in roles that are the grounding  presence in a story, or full of wit and humor, Liam has experienced roles of a wide variety.  He spent many years performing Pantomimes with On The Spot Productions and has done  Musical Theatre all his life. In his training, Liam had the chance to focus on a new world of  theatre through both devised work, and published plays. He is comfortable with the super  heightened nature of musical theatre, and with the grounded nuance of literary and text  focused plays; and all that is found in between.  

Liam is thrilled and honoured to be starting this new chapter with DaCosta Talent, and looks  forward to continuing to grow and learn more within the industry.
