Tatenda Hatugari

A seed for storytelling was sowed early in Tatenda Hatugari’s life.   From a young age his aptitude was rewarded by being published in a collection of young poets work from across the globe. Through his teenage years he continued to write and pursue his other passion, tennis, at which he competed in nationally at a high level. Drawn to filmmaking in his late teens, he went on to study Creative Writing with the intention of penning original screenplays.

While studying he was scouted by a modelling agent and being in front of the camera stirred in him a feeling that he had last felt while competing on court: performance. After an almost decade of featuring in global commercial campaigns as a model, and training extensively in several acting methods and an invite-only theatre intensive, he is poised for big things on screen and stage.

Tatenda’s path into the industry endows him with a uniquely robust understanding of narrative story-telling, as well as a physical discipline that will continue to support the growth of his instrument.
