Natalie Gimon Valencia is a Toronto-born, first-generation Colombian-Venezuelan actor and producer working between Los Angeles and Canada. Her work has screened internationally, including Comet Orphan, which was featured at the Cannes Short Film Corner and the Academy Award-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival, establishing her presence within the global independent film circuit.
With a multidisciplinary background in film, theatre, and dance, Natalie brings a physically grounded and emotionally present approach to her performances while also contributing a strong creative perspective behind the camera. She acted in and produced the short film The Guest, which received festival recognition on the international independent circuit. Her producing work has also been recognized across several festivals, including Tomorrow, which won at the London Independent Film Awards, and Chance of Rain, which premiered at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. In theatre, she produced the Los Angeles premiere of The Effect, which was named a Top 5 Best Play in LA by Theatre Bites.
Natalie trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles, where she studied method acting and earned an Associate of Occupational Studies degree in Acting on scholarship. During her time there she also worked as an Associate Producer for the Pictures Up Film Festival, supporting programming and event operations. Following graduation, she was invited to host the Lee Strasberg Film Festival Awards Ceremony, celebrating emerging filmmakers and performers from the institute’s international community. She has also worked as a musical theatre instructor for youth from underserved communities, helping young performers build confidence and creative expression through the arts.
Her most recent film, HAWAII, a dark satirical short exploring aging, vulnerability, and compassion in a dystopian future, has recently wrapped and is currently entering the international festival circuit. Natalie is currently in pre-production on a new short film that she will both act in and produce. Natalie continues to develop a growing slate of film and theatre projects that explore complex human relationships and socially relevant themes, with a particular interest in stories that amplify underrepresented perspectives.
