Marquisha Sparkes

Marquisha Sparkes-Whonder was born to entertain. Her passion for movement led her to York University’s Fine Arts dance program, where she immersed herself in classical ballet and contemporary modern techniques.  She later expanded her versatility through intensive study of street styles and contemporary dance, evolving into a dynamic, multi-genre artist.

Her career has since taken her to screens big and small, appearing in major productions for Disney, Netflix, and Lifetime Television.  Notable credits include Work It, Sneakerella, Salt-N-Pepa, Grand Army, 13: The Musical, as well as short films like Tweetations and Revolution of Love.

Marquisha’s talent and work ethic has taken her around the world, where she has danced alongside global superstars such as Drake, Sean Paul, Keri Hilson and July Black and worked with renowned choreographers including Shameka Blake, Hollywood Jade, Tanisha Scott, Aljamaal Jones, Ebony Williams, Aakomon Jones, Christian Vincent, Amanda May-Wilson, and many more.

Deeply fulfilled by the power of performance, Marquisha finds joy in exploring a wide range of styles particularly hip-hop, jazz-funk, afro-fusion, and heels choreography. She continues to push her artistry to new heights while inspiring others to discover the beauty, discipline, and transformative power of dance.
