Prashanthi Jiang

Prashanthi Jiang is a Toronto-based actor with over a decade of professional theatre experience spanning classical theatre, contemporary drama, and musical theatre. Originally trained in China, she holds a B.A. in Acting from the Central Academy of Drama and an M.A. in Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies from the University of Toronto. 

Her stage experience includes leading and principal roles in productions such as Macbeth, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, The Sound of Music, Sunrise, and The Wilderness. She has also worked on screen and in commercial productions, bringing her extensive theatrical training to film and television performance. 

Fluent in English and Mandarin, Prashanthi brings a cross-cultural perspective and a versatile performance background to her work. Her additional training and skills include musical theatre vocals, contemporary and jazz dance, Chinese sword martial arts, piano, and a range of English and Mandarin dialects. Now based in Toronto, she is continuing to expand her work across film, television, and theatre.
