Tessa Tamura

Tessa Tamura (she/her) is a Vancouver-based choreographer and performer making her mark on both sides of the camera. With over a decade of creative collaborations spanning stage and screen, she has honed her craft working with industry-leading artists. Drawing from her comprehensive training across all dance genres and extensive industry experience, Tessa continues to shape storytelling through movement for film and television with her unique artistic perspective.

As an assistant choreographer, Tessa is known for her work on Descendants 5: Wicked Wonderland (Disney+), Sidelined: The QB and Me (TUBI) – nominated for a 2025 Leo Award for Best Choreography, Riverdale (CW), Peacemaker (HBO Max), Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies (Paramount+) and School Spirits (Paramount+). Her wide-ranging experience extends to her performance work, with dance credits including Christmas Chronicles 2 (Netflix), Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (NBC), Riverdale (CW), Motherland: Fort Salem (Freeform), and Charmed (CW). 

Originally from Lethbridge, Alberta, Tessa’s foundation was built in a competitive dance environment where she excelled across all genres from an early age. Her dedication earned her scholarships to advance her training across North America and Europe, before relocating to Vancouver to study with the city’s most sought-after instructors and immerse herself in the commercial dance scene.

Beyond her creative work, Tessa serves on the UBCP/ACTRA Dance and Choreography Committee in British Columbia, advocating for her fellow artists while continuing to elevate the dance community through her leadership and artistry.
