Victor Lau has been affixed to the performing arts from the moment he first stepped foot on a stage. A professional dancer, competitive choreographer, and emerging actor, Victor began his performance training at the age of 12 through immersion in street dance culture. His early years were rooted in Hip-hop, Waacking, Locking, and B-boying—styles that shaped his foundation and sparked a passion for battling and storytelling through movement.
By 16, Victor had already earned several prestigious titles, including World of Dance Vancouver Waacking Champion, Honour-Roll Waacking Champion, and 4x Canadian Hip Hop Gold Medalist. His competitive drive and diverse training eventually led him to become a captain and choreographer for TwoFourSeven Company, where he played a key role in the team’s 1st-place wins at Body Rock and World of Dance Los Angeles.
Victor’s choreographic work is known for its precision, dynamic blocking, and theatricality. His commitment to the craft has taken him across the globe, sharing stages with some of the world’s most elite dancers and performing behind artists like Ashanti, Sarah Jeffery, and Alex Newell. He has collaborated with top industry leaders including Kenny Ortega, Mandy Moore, Luther Brown, and Jamal Sims.
Now based in Hollywood North, Victor is expanding his creative reach into the world of film and television. He made his feature film debut as Jiaying in Lionsgate’s Joy Ride (2023) and portrayed Floyd in the Paramount+ series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies (2023). His screen credits also include performances in Descendants 3, Descendants 5, HBO’s The Last of Us, and Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Off-camera, Victor continues to nurture the next generation of artists. He has taught masterclasses and conventions in Los Angeles, Denmark, and across Canada, and is widely recognized for his ability to fuse emotional storytelling with high-level technique. Whether on stage, on set, or in the studio, Victor remains devoted to pushing boundaries, leading with heart, and elevating the voices of the dance community.
