Dayton Paradis

UBCP/ACTRA

Canadian-born artist Dayton Paradis (he/him) made his screen debut in the latest instalment fantasy teen series Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, and quickly became one to watch. Cast in this iconic Disney series, Dayton plays Squeaky Smee, using his triple threat talent of acting, singing and dancing in one memorable role. Dayton also appears in Disney’s Camp Rock 3 with the Jonas Brothers, and plays Tommy in Nickelodeon’s reboot of the original Victorious series Hollywood Arts, all set to release in 2026.

Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dayton fell in love with the performing arts very early on. At the age of 8, Dayton was introduced to numerous dance styles (hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and ballet) and his desire to learn grew rapidly. With the support of his home studio, Kristy’s Dance Fusion, Dayton believed that he had the potential to be a professional artist. His supportive family moved to Edmonton, Alberta to help further his dance development, where he was provided excellent training with companies Kore Dance Studio, Eye Candy Company, and Cool Giraffes. These opportunities elevated his passion beyond what he deemed possible.

Growing up in the competitive world of dance, the concept of hard work and dedication was far from foreign to Dayton. Achieving many standout awards for his showmanship and vulnerability when performing, he exuded a confidence that naturally drew people in. Some of his dance career highlights include multiple regional title winnings, as well as competing on NBC’s World Of Dance, and Canada’s Got Talent. His early mentorship with Alexander Chung led him to consistently seek out challenging and inspiring training environments, and his current mentorship with Scott Forsyth and Adrian Vendiola has allowed him to compete and train intensively around the world. Being a member of street dance crews Northside and Brotherhood has led Dayton to perform on one of the world’s biggest stages – IDL (International Dance League).

Pursuing a life of performing arts in Vancouver, Canada, Dayton trains with vocal coach Sylvia Zaradic, and renowned acting coach Deb Podowski. Since the beginning, Dayton has always been dedicated and driven to go great lengths in order to achieve his goals. Through his desire for greatness in all aspects of life, he believes that if you put your mind to something, you can always achieve it, as long as you’re willing to put in the work to do so
