Alex MacIsaac

Alex MacIsaac is a Vancouver-based teen actor working in film, television, and theatre. She made her breakout appearance as Gwendolyn in Season 13 of Hallmark’s long-running series When Calls the Heart, delivering a memorable performance that showcased her emotional depth and strong screen presence.

Alex stars as Emma Boone in Netflix’s upcoming hockey series with 21 Laps, due to release in late 2026.  Other screen credits include roles in CBC’s Allegiance, Nickelodeon’s Hollywood Arts, and The Social Reckoning, directed by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin. 

In addition to her on-camera work, Alex has appeared in professional theatre, notably The Arts Club Theatre Company’s Miracle on 34th Street as Susan Walker. Other theatre credits include School of Rock, and Ronald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical with Theatre Under The Stars, and ELF: The Musical with The Arts Club Theatre.  Across mediums, she is known for her professionalism, focus, and ability to take direction.

Alex is also a talented and passionate singer. In 2025, she received the only Platinum standing in the Vancouver Area Youth Artists Society (VAYA) Musical Theatre voice competition among 17-and-under participants, recognizing her vocal talent and musicality. From Equity theatre stages, to professional sports stadiums, to her social handle @thegurlzwho_sing – Alex’s vocal ability impresses every audience.

As a dual citizen in both Canada and the United States, Alex continues to develop her craft internationally through ongoing training and professional experience, and looks forward to continuing to grow as a performer across film, television, and theatre.
