Kendall Ackland was born in Windsor Ontario and is a graduate of the Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance program at Sheridan College. She began dancing at the age of six and spent eight years in the competitive dance world, training and competing in styles including tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, and ballroom with the Dance Barre Elite Team. She was the first dancer to tap dance with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra in 2019.
She was also involved in many years of solo and choral singing, performing with the Windsor Essex Youth Choir and the SoCA Highschool Honour Choir. Despite being classically trained, she absolutely loves to sing CCM-influenced music and has spent many years performing covers of songs by Yebba, Etta James, and many others. She has had the privilege of sharing the stage with talented artists including Tee Turner, and a music group known as “Now United”. Her passion for singing was largely inspired by her musically talented family; she has performed with them for a variety of audiences over the years. Her love for musical theatre began in High School, where she played lead roles in and choreographed her school’s musicals.
