Kamal Amanda

Kamal Amanda is a Toronto-based actor, dancer, singer/performing artist, lead vocalist, and songwriter whose artistic foundation is built upon rigorous multidisciplinary training across vocal performance and dance. Her formal training began in Kingston, Jamaica, where she pursued intensive dance studies at her preparatory school and attended the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts each summer from the ages of 8 to 12. There, she developed skills in Afro-Caribbean Folk, Dancehall, Contemporary, Choreography, and Hip-Hop. After relocating to Toronto, Canada, she further refined her vocal abilities through four years of specialized vocal training and music theory in high school, while also performing in school dance showcases.

Building on this strong foundation, Kamal expanded her performance repertoire through on-camera acting and scene study training while gaining valuable professional experience in theatrical productions. She has continued to strengthen her vocal artistry through ongoing private coaching with some of Toronto’s leading vocal coaches.

Looking ahead, Kamal is committed to building a dynamic career across both screen and stage. Her long-term vision includes starring as a series lead on a major streaming or network television production while simultaneously establishing herself as a recording artist with the release of a full-length original album.
