Abigail Oliveira

Abigail is a Toronto-based professional dancer, born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. Known for commanding the stage with her athleticism, passion, and bringing a unique edge through her exceptional tumbling and acrobatic abilities. Abigail began dancing at the age of four and, by seven, had already set her sights on pursuing it as a career. Since then, she has remained relentlessly driven, making sacrifices, embracing challenges, and continuously. For Abigail, the stage has always felt like home.

She trained competitively from a young age in ballet, jazz, acro, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop, primarily at CM Dancing. In 2019, she was selected to attend the École Nationale de Cirque Summer Program in Montreal. During her teen years, she was featured in the Senior Protégé Opening Number at Radix, choreographed by Tyce Diorio, and performed in the Title Soloist Opening Number at CANdance under the direction of Stephanie Rutherford. Passionate about giving back, Abigail has been a recurring performer at the On The Floor SickKids Gala; helping raise funds and awareness while performing for children and families in need. As well as having the privilege of working with renowned choreographers including Alisha Lucchese, Jac Valiquette, Linda Garneau, Derek Piquette, and Mitchell Jackson, and performing alongside artists such as REVE and Shawn Desman.

Abigail’s professional career took off after she made the bold decision to take a gap year following high school to pursue dance independently. While this unconventional path was met with skepticism, it ultimately fueled her determination to succeed. At just 19, she secured her first contract with Disney Cruise Line as a dancer. Following her initial contract, she was promoted to Dance Captain and now performs a lead role in Aladdin as the Magic Carpet (dancer/tumbler)—becoming the first female to achieve this track aboard the Disney Wish. Her journey is a testament to her resilience, ambition, and unwavering belief in herself.

Dedicated to refining her craft and expanding her reach within the entertainment industry, Abigail continues to push boundaries and embrace new opportunities. She thrives in the face of risk and uncertainty, viewing them as essential to growth and self-discovery. Through her work, she aims to inspire others to pursue their passions fearlessly and turn their dreams into reality.
