Aisha Shennawy

Aisha Shennawy (She/Her) is an Egyptian-Canadian actress. She is an extremely ambitious, dedicated performer, driven by the love of her craft, and a passion for revealing story and character. She holds a bachelor of Architectural studies from the Azrieli School of Architecture, where she discovered her passion for acting. 

Aisha trained at George Brown Theatre School, and has had many mentors and teachers including David Rotenberg, Sarah McVie, John Koensgen, and Cathy MacKinnon, among many others. Some of her past work includes Anjou as Margaret of Anjou in the Ottawa Fringe Festival, I Need A Christmas Vacation as Patty (produced by Songwind Studios), and Jane in Jane Eyre directed by Marie Farsi. She was also recently nominated for the 2023 Hnatyshyn Emerging Artist Award. 

She continues to study at George Brown Theatre School where she will be working with directors Peter Pasyk, Rosanna Saracino, and Aaron Willis in her upcoming season. 

Aisha is bilingual in English and conversational Egyptian-Arabic. She is also a visual artist, and enjoys painting and drawing whenever inspiration strikes.
