Akash Rajan is a Toronto-based actor, singer-songwriter, and creative artist with a strong passion for emotionally grounded storytelling. Drawn to acting through his love of film and character-driven performance, Akash brings a natural screen presence, quirky charm, and warm, relatable energy to his work. As a South Asian performer, musician, and entrepreneur, he brings a distinct perspective rooted in discipline, creativity, and drive. One of his larger goals is to help challenge outdated South Asian stereotypes by bringing modern, layered, and dynamic representation to the screen.
Akash has built experience across film, commercial, and musical projects, with credits including Welcome Home, The Gym, Experian Olympics, Star Wars, and New Era Caps. He has also recently completed work on an original musical film project, allowing him to combine his acting and music background in a performance-driven role. Alongside his on-camera work, Akash continues to develop his craft through ongoing industry learning, audition preparation, and practical set experience.
In addition to acting, Akash is a singer-songwriter with experience in live performance, songwriting, and music-driven storytelling. His additional skills include fight choreography, athletics, table tennis, basketball, and creative writing, giving him versatility across dramatic, commercial, musical, and physically expressive roles. He is especially drawn to characters with emotional depth, inner conflict, resilience, and transformation.
Originally from Markham, Ontario, Akash’s journey into acting has been shaped by persistence, self-development, and a deep commitment to building a meaningful creative career. Now based in downtown Toronto, he is actively pursuing opportunities in film, television, commercial, and musical projects while continuing to grow as a performer.
With a grounded presence, strong work ethic, and fresh creative perspective, Akash is focused on bringing truth, vulnerability, and authenticity to every role he takes on.
