Alec Cranston

Alec is an emerging actor driven by a lifelong passion for storytelling. His love for the craft was born from constant encouragement from his family growing up to stretch his imagination and find a purpose greater than himself by bringing joy to others. Channeling the values instilled on him by his family, Alec approaches every role with honesty, curiosity and heart. Whether it’s through drama, comedy, or something in between, his goal is simple – to bring stories to life in a way that moves people and makes them feel something real. 

Alec has appeared in several roles across film and television, but his most memorable experience to date has been working on the upcoming TV series You’re Killing Me, set to release in 2026. The project allowed him to dive deeper into character work and collaborate closely with a talented creative team – an experience that solidified his devotion to acting and his drive to keep growing as a professional actor. 

He has also enjoyed the opportunity to have several appearances on This Hour Has 22 Minutes, where he showcased his comedic timing and ability to bring energy and presence to the screen on one of Canada’s most iconic shows. 

Outside of acting, Alec is a dedicated hockey coach in Nova Scotia, where he’s known for his leadership, mentorship and passion for developing young athletes both on and off the ice. He is also the co-creator and co-host of Matter of ‘Fax, a local podcast that shines a spotlight on the many great stories, people and happenings across the East Coast. 

With a deep respect for the craft and a clear vision for the road ahead, Alec is committed to growing as an artist and storyteller. He looks forward to every new opportunity to challenge himself, collaborate with inspiring creatives and bring meaningful stories to life on screen.
