Non Union

Amanda Whyte is a renowned Canadian actor, model, and stuntwoman whose name is quickly gaining an illustrious reputation. The recent NYU Tisch Drama BFA graduate is no stranger to action films, having sparred in Geneva Pierre-Jerome’s critically acclaimed Valentine, Texas, and Bryan Uvaldo’s award-winning action films, Love Bomb Baby and Playin’ Around. Most recently, the work of this brown belt has taken her to Off-Broadway (The Gospel of Joan Crawford), Off-Off Broadway (Caricature of Intimacy), Edinburgh Fringe Festival (The Gospel of Joan Crawford Revival), NYSFF (Acceptance), and countless other film festivals, theatres, and countries.

Meisner trained at NYU Tisch’s Meisner Studio, Whyte is also an alum of Stonestreet Studios’ Residency Program in New York City, where screen acting quickly became the forefront of her craft. She has since been trained in stage combat (David Brimmer), Shotokan karate, hand-to-hand combat, and bo staff weaponry, and is currently adding nun chucks to the list.

Once described as “a living hyperbole,” Amanda Whyte can only be summarized as dynamic, passionate, and the embodiment of professionalism. When not on set, she can be found training for marathons, perfecting piano pieces, and working on the magazine she co-founded, Riot Magazine.
