Anoshinie Muhundarajah

ACTRA

Anoshinie is well known for the way she captivates the audience through her choreography, creativity, musicality, attention to detail, and storytelling through movement. She exudes a passion to commit, deliver, and engage. Anoshinie’s meticulous training began at 5 years old with a foundation in Indian Classical and Folk dance forms, mainly focusing on Bharatanatyam and Bollywood. After completing her 18 years of training with Shanthiy Sivaruban and Broken Dance Performing Arts, she continued on to explore and train in more Western dance styles such as Hip Hop, House, Locking, Popping, Heels, and Jazz Funk. This opened up her world to explore fusing her South Asian dance foundation with Western movement, creating her own niche of Indian Classical Fusion and Bollywood Fusion. As her expertise in both styles were being noticed across the globe, Anoshinie was invited to choreograph, teach, and judge showcases in England, Finland, Australia, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. She has been performing for over 20 years and choreographing for over 10 years. Anoshinie is a visionary and is driven by making people’s vision come to life through her creativity within the choreography world.

Anoshinie’s credits include: The Parker Andersons, BollyWed Pilot Sizzle, Canada’s Got Talent, International Indian Film Awards (IIFA), Nordic’s Dance Festival, Calgary Stampede, Lilly Singh, Avan Jogia, Raptors Half-Time Show, Pan-am Closing Ceremony, and Toronoto’s Choreographers Ball.
Anoshinie has been featured on: CBC, Breakfast Television, CityTV, Bollywood Film Fame Canada, and Tamil Culture.

Anoshinie’s love for the performing arts goes way beyond her role as a choreographer. Anoshinie is an advocate for using the arts as a platform to connect with people while inspiring and empowering communities globally. Some of her work outside the Entertainment Industry includes volunteering to teach dance in orphanages abroad, youth development centres, and women’s centres. Anoshinie wants to inspire others to also have a dream and know that they too can make it happen.
