Antonio Cado

Antonio is a passionate and versatile performer who discovered his love for music at just eighteen months old, inspired by legends like Elvis Presley and Buddy Rich. By the age of three, he felt an instant connection when he first sat at a piano. Born and raised in Richmond Hill, Antonio has honed his artistic talents through dedicated training in music theatre and acting at Ovation! Richmond Hill Performing Arts Academy. 

Antonio has brought a wide range of characters to life on stage, including Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, the title role in Oliver!, and Omar in Aladdin Jr., all performed at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. Most recently, he stepped into the world of local theatre as Bert in All My Sons at the Curtain Club, embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and heart. In 2024, he also performed with the Marky Monday Ovation Troupe at various summer festivals, sharing his energy and talent with live audiences across the region. 

His commitment to music was recently recognized with First Class Honours with Distinction on his Royal Conservatory Level 6 Piano Exam—an achievement that reflects both his discipline and deep love for the craft. Antonio has had the privilege of studying classical piano under the expert guidance of Dr. Eda Dobrovetsky, whose precision, patience and passion for teaching have been instrumental in shaping his technical foundation. He has also explored the world of jazz piano with acclaimed pianist Mark Eisenman whose mentorship has inspired Antonio to embrace improvisation and musical expression with confidence and creativity. 

Outside of the spotlight, Antonio finds joy in singing with his church choir, serving as the house pianist for his school choir, and spending time with friends over a game of soccer, basketball or chess. He also has a fondness for classic Spaghetti Westerns, which inspire his imagination and storytelling. 

Antonio is deeply grateful to his parents, family, teachers, and friends for their constant encouragement and belief in him. Their support fuels his journey, and he looks forward to every new opportunity with da Costa Talent to grow as an artist and share his passion with others.
