Kristen ‘KatchFlow’ Bailey is a dynamic and multifaceted Barbadian-Canadian dancer, choreographer, actor, educator, and model. Surrounded by music and rhythm growing up, Kristen’s passion for music and the performing arts was sparked at a young age. Kristen’s first encounter with formal dance classes was Afro-Caribbean lessons at 4 years old. Determined to dance as much as possible, Kristen then joined the competitive dance world, where she developed valuable and fundamental skills in Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet, and Musical Theatre.

Kristen’s undeniable drive to improve her craft, paired with a growing passion for various street dance styles, led to her ongoing pursuit of dance training across Canada and internationally (such as New York City, Los Angeles, France, Australia etc.). Kristen has intentionally sought out training opportunities to learn from many of the creators and pioneers of various street dance styles, including Hip Hop, House, and Popping, Dancehall, Afrofusion, Afrobeats, Traditional West African dance, Street Jazz, Jazz Funk, Heels, W*acking, and Locking. For over 2 years, Kristen also trained with and was a member of TwoFourSeven company; winning competitions within Canada and competing internationally at the prestigious Body Rock dance competition in San Diego, USA. With the goal of expanding her skills and knowledge in the art of performing, Kristen has also taken workshops in acting, voice acting, and ‘Dance on Camera’ with Emmy- nominated choreographers, Jeff Mortensen and Louise Hradsky.

A captivating and experienced performer, Kristen has danced in various live performances, music videos, multi-media productions, fundraisers, competitions and showcases in Canada and the USA. With a passion for creating, Kristen has also choreographed in multiple settings – having recently choreographed a music video for a local Canadian artist, and has showcased her work at performances in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, as well as dance competitions within Canada. Finally, Kristen also has a genuine love for teaching, sharing, and educating, and has had the opportunity to teach dance companies and students across Canada as well as internationally, in Barbados.

Kristen is committed to being a lifelong student of dance and deepening her understanding of the rich culture and history that is the basis of various movement forms. She strives to pursue all that she does with professionalism, excellence, and joy.
