Briana Andrade-Gomes
ACTRA
Briana (she/her) is an ambitious, passionate dancer and actress. She started off dancing at the very young age of three and quickly joined a competitive dance team at the age of 4. From there, Briana continued to excel in the art of dance. She is a versatile dancer who has trained in hip-hop, ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz and tap. She started to develop an interest in acting soon after, at the age of six. She began to take acting classes and workshops including a young training program at Armstrong Acting Studios. As a young teen, Briana continued to work on her craft. She graduated as an honours student from Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts where she excelled in her academics and trained in ballet and modern.
Whether it is acting or dancing, Briana loves to be in front of the camera. At the age of 12, Briana hosted a TVO kids dance show called “Pop It!”, which aired for two seasons internationally. She has also worked on other tv shows and feature films such as “The Next Step”, “12 Monkeys”, “Suicide Squad”, and “Disney’s Jump In.” Briana loves to perform and has had the pleasure to perform at many venues and shows, including: “MMVA’s with Avril Lavigne”, ”Me to We – Toronto and Waterloo with Shawn Desman”., “Raven Symone Fashion Show” and “Toronto Raptors Dance Pak”.
Briana has had the chance to work closely with choreographers such as Aakomon Jones, Amy Allen, Leon Blackwood, Amy Wright, and Melissa Williams to name a few. Briana has also had the opportunity to work with acting coaches such as Dean Armstrong, Emma Hunter and Jeff Marshall. She has had the honour to work closely and learn from the best in the dance and acting industry. Briana’s most recent accomplishment was landing a supporting role on a new Netflix film called “Work It.” She is super excited to have found a role that includes both dancing and acting.
Briana currently resides in Toronto, Canada. One of her biggest strengths is to understand, follow and take direction. She loves to entertain and continues to train and work on her craft.
