Cecilly Day

CAEA | UBCP/ACTRA

Cecilly Day is a graduate of the University of Victoria where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. While she enjoyed discovering the history of theatre in the classroom, her love of singing kept bringing her back to musical theatre. So in 2015 Cecilly decided to move back to Vancouver and take on the role of Motormouth Maybelle in Theatre Under The Stars’ production of Hairpsray.

Since then, Cecilly has been fortunate to travel and perform across Canada with theatre companies such as The Arts Club, Urban Ink, Theatre Calgary, The Citadel, and Theatre Aquarius.

In 2017, Cecilly joined the da Costa Talent family and made the natural transition into the film and tv world, booking numerous national commercials, even appearing on the Junos with Canadian recording artist Daniel Caesar. She made her television debut on Man In The High Castle (Prime Video), and continued to book roles in Supernatural (CW), Virgin River (Netflix), and The Irrational (NBC). You can also hear Cecilly in the voice over world as General Miyana in The Dragon Prince (Netflix).

Cecilly is a proud alumni of the Arts Club Actors Intensive (Dean Paul Gibson/Program Director and Scott Bellis/Head Instructor). When she’s not busy performing on the stage or screen, Cecilly continues her on camera training with various instructors around Vancouver.
