Alyssa Del Degan

Non-Union

Alyssa Del Degan was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where she developed a strong foundation in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Tap. After graduating high school she moved to Vancouver to train in Harbour Dance Centre’s Intensive Training Program (ITP) under the direction of Moe Brody. This marked the beginning of her professional journey and remains an experience she holds close to her heart.

Following the program, Alyssa’s passion for dance continued to evolve, pushing her to pursue diverse training and performance opportunities with leading companies and artists in the Vancouver community including Quill Collective, TwoFourSeven Company, Overryde, Ruffnecks, and HeealsSoules. These experiences shaped her artistic voice, versatility, and presence both on and off the stage.  Her professional work spans multiple Innovate Dance Film showcase, a Disney movie for television, commercials, and music videos.

From hip hop to heels, Alyssa showcases her range as a proud member of the all-female hip hop crew Ruffnecks, and as a main cast member in the cabaret production The Smoke Show directed by Jen Oleksiuk.  She has represented Team Canada Hip Hop as a dancer, and an assistant coach role under Roberta Bierman. This expanded her experience in both performance and leadership, contributing to the adult team’s first-place finish at the IDO World Championship for the second consecutive year.

In addition to performing, Alyssa has an eye for creative direction, having set pieces with Quill Collective, where she remains actively involved as an assistant, choreographer, and performer. Alyssa teaches weekly classes at Harbour Dance Centre and A3 District, focusing on developing technique, intention, and confidence in dancers. She also mentors within Harbour’s ITP program, giving back to the next generation of artists while continuing to support the community that shaped her.  She continues to expand her artistry through training, travel, and collaboration and remains an active and dedicated member of the dance community where she is constantly learning and showing up for the spaces that inspire her. When she’s not in the studio or on stage, she enjoys watching her favourite films with her sister, friends, and even her cat.
