Elora Sarmiento

Elora Sarmiento is a proud Filipina-Canadian singer, actor, and dancer (moreso groover) whose one true love is telling stories through performance. She found a deep passion for singing through karaoke at family parties from a very young age, which stemmed into her love for musical theatre, storytelling, and live performance.

Born and raised in Markham, Ontario, Elora attended the Arts Unionville Voice Program at Unionville High School. She is a proud graduate of Queen’s University and St. Lawrence College, in their joint Bachelor of Musical Theatre program. A believer in lifelong learning and development of one’s craft, Elora continues to train in Toronto, over zoom, wherever and whenever she can. 

Elora is eternally grateful to have performed with Stephenville Theatre Festival, Tweed and Co., Neptune Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse, and Disney Cruise Line. Musical theatre helped Elora find her identity and made her feel like she mattered – she hopes her work on stage does the same for every audience she performs for. She is determined to make audiences feel seen and heard. 

Elora looks forward to developing her artistic practice along with DaCosta Talent. She is so excited for what’s to come.
