Hailey Balaz

Hailey Balaz (she/her) is a performer, choreographer, and arts educator originally from Toronto, Ontario, now based in Calgary, Alberta. A graduate of Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Performance program and the Etobicoke School of the Arts, Hailey has built a multifaceted career spanning performance, choreography, and arts education. 

Most recently, Hailey originated the role of Cheryl in The Cheezie Musical with Carter – Ryan Productions. Additional theatre credits include Concrete Jungle Book Workshop (Forte Theatre), A Christmas Story: The Musical (Theatre Aquarius), Bittergirl (Thousand Islands Playhouse), Mamma Mia! (Drayton Entertainment), and Cellblock Tango: Reimagined (EveryBodyOnstage). Known for her dynamic stage presence, comedic instincts, and powerful mezzo-soprano voice, she is passionate about bringing bold, authentic storytelling to every project she undertakes. 

In addition to her work on stage, Hailey is an accomplished choreographer and educator dedicated to developing the next generation of artists. She has worked with performers of all ages through theatre, dance, and music programming and is committed to creating supportive environments where artists can build confidence, refine their craft, and celebrate their individuality. She is also the co-founder of Combo2Callback, a Calgary-based drop-in dance class for musical theatre performers that fosters artistic growth, professional development, and community connection. 

Whether performing, choreographing, or teaching, Hailey brings creativity, professionalism, and infectious enthusiasm to every room she enters. She is a firm believer in the transformative power of the arts and strives to inspire others to embrace their unique voice and tell stories that matter.
