Jacqueline Burtney

Jacqueline Burtney (she/her) is a professional director/choreographer/actor/dancer who currently resides in Toronto, ON. Most recently she was to perform in the Stratford Festival’s 2020 Season as Mrs. Darling in Wendy and Peter Pan.
Previously she has worked onstage as Belle in Beauty and the Beast at The Globe Theatre in Regina, she was in the Mirvish and First National Tour production of Matilda, as well as Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway, she travelled with the First National Tour of Anything Goes and performed in two seasons at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, including a dream come true performing as Louise in Carousel. She has also performed on The Tony Awards and on The View in New York City. Her film/television credits include but are not limited to The Strain, Hellcats and Nikita.
Recently Jacqueline had her directorial debut, directing and choreographing the new musical Crack of Doom in 2019 with The Yellow Door Theatre Company. She has been teaching and choreographing for over ten years across Canada and the United States. Jacqueline has received her Advanced 2 training in RAD, has studied at the National Ballet School, apprenticed with The Banff Performing Arts Professional Ballet Company and competed and studied internationally in Sao Paulo, Brazilia and Joinville in Brazil, and is a graduate of the Sheridan Music Theatre Performance program.
