Jay Kim

Non-Union

Jay Kim (he/him) grew up in South Korea and moved to Canada as an adult, where he found his way to the performing arts through his love of musicals. That turned into dance classes, which led to acting classes, and ultimately graduation from Randolph College for the Performing Arts.

He continues to train in on-camera technique at Armstrong Acting Studios, LB Acting Studio, and McNally Kennedy Acting, improv at Second City, and dance at nearly every studio across Toronto.

His credits include a small principal role in an upcoming Amazon MGM production, the lead in the indie short Bittersweet, and commercial campaigns for Rosetta Stone, Nissan, IKEA, Instacart, and Nintendo. He also performed as “Ram” in Transhumance with CORPUS.

Having come to acting later in life, he’s the person who stays late, takes every class, and never turns down a chance to work.
