Jayme is an award-winning Canadian theatre director, performer, and arts leader celebrated for her authentic, imaginative, and human-centered storytelling. With a career spanning more than two decades across Canada and internationally, she brings a rare combination of performance expertise, directorial vision, and mentorship experience to every project. Known for her sharp comic instincts, imaginative vision, and collaborative leadership, Jayme creates rehearsal rooms where artists feel empowered to take risks, connect deeply to the material, and bring their full selves to the work. She leads through positivity, fostering environments that are joyful, rigorous, and inspiring for performers at all levels.
Her directing credits include Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Broadway Showstoppers (Drayton Entertainment), Legally Blonde (Theatre Under the Stars), Anne of Green Gables and Annie (Storybook Theatre), and Nine (Theatre Sheridan). Jayme’s directorial approach blends her deep understanding of the performer’s craft with her imaginative storytelling, allowing her to bring fresh, nuanced interpretations to both classic and contemporary works.
As a performer, Jayme has starred in Canadian premieres such as Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), Adrian (Rocky: The Musical), and Linda (Holiday Inn), as well as a wide range of iconic roles including Fiona (Shrek The Musical), Millie (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Janet (The Drowsy Chaperone), Sherrie (Rock of Ages), Roxie (Chicago), Lina (Singin’ in the Rain), Reno (Anything Goes), Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Betty (White Christmas), Marian (The Music Man), Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Fantine (Les Misérables), Elle (Legally Blonde), Maria (The Sound of Music), and Guinevere (Camelot, US National Tour). Jayme has performed across Canada with acclaimed companies such as Drayton Entertainment, the Stratford Festival, Theatre Aquarius, and the Arts Club Theatre, and internationally in Los Angeles, where she played Judy in Ruthless! The Musical (earning an LA Weekly Award for Outstanding Comedy Performance).
A dedicated mentor and coach, Jayme supports the next generation of theatre artists through performance coaching, audition preparation, and professional guidance. Drawing on her experience as a performer and director, she helps young artists navigate both the craft and the collaborative process.
Jayme holds a Master of Arts in Cultural Management and in 2020 was honoured with the KW Rogers Woman of the Year Award in Arts & Culture for her artistic and charitable contributions.
