Kennedy’s dedication to character portrayal and commitment to authenticity on screen have garnered critical acclaim and admiration from peers and audiences alike and was honoured with a Joey aware for Best Featured Female Performer in a short film. Kennedy includes formal education in performing arts, workshops with industry professionals, and ongoing skill development to refine her acting abilities.
Kennedy’s passion for musical theatre and voice began to flourish in middle school. Her journey into the world of performing arts commenced with vibrant portrayals of the iconic characters Mushu in “Mulan” and Hei Hei in “Moana.” Kennedy’s enthusiasm, energy, and charisma brought these beloved characters to life on stage. Her dedication and talent were further showcased when she was cast in the professional production of “The Wizard of Oz” with Rainbow Stage. Kennedy’s commitment to training led her to a prestigious opportunity- she was humbled and thrilled to be chosen to train with the esteemed faculty of Julliard at their Winter Festival dedicated to musical theatre.
Beyond acting, Kennedy is a consummate dancer. Kennedy’s training with Sarah Daurie Dance Company has provided her with a solid foundation, honing her technical abilities and artistic sensibilities. Through numerous workshops led by industry professionals across North America, she continually refines her craft, embracing diverse styles and techniques that enrich her performances. Notably, Kennedy was selected to train with Stacey Tookey’s prestigious Protégé movement in New York, marking a remarkable milestone in her dance journey.
