Kiara McIlravey is a Canadian-based actor and dancer born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta.  As an artist who thrives in the crossover between acting and dance, she is inspired by the discovery of how the two art forms complement each other so seamlessly.

Kiara grew up dancing at multiple studios, training extensively in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Acrobatics. She always had a deep love for dance, but her passion for the art form intensified after being accepted to the Joffrey Ballet School’s Commercial Dance Program in New York City.

After graduating from Shelley’s Dance Company, under the tutelage of Shelley Tookey, and Penhold School of Dance, where she focused heavily on her ballet training with Kirsten Kowalchuk, Kiara made the move to Vancouver in 2021.  She was accepted into Moe Brody’s Intensive Training Program at Harbour Dance Centre and spent that year engaging with the extensive arts community that thrives in Vancouver.  There, she also discovered her love for acting, and began training under Deb Podowski. After a year of continuous training in acting, drop-in and progressive dance programs, and broadening her repertoire to vocal lessons and ballroom, Kiara’s began to book professionally.

Kiara immediately began to thrive in the commercial market, booking roles in national and international ad campaigns for Meta, Ulta Beauty, Expedia, Rogers, Vessi, Frito Lays and Specsavers.  She made her first foray into the motion capture realm with EA Games, and booked her first supporting role on a web series.  As a dancer, Kiara built credits on Riverdale (CW), in music videos and live events, and she joined the highly coveted cast of Vancouver’s cabaret The Smoke Show.  She also continued to share her love and knowledge of the dance industry as a faculty assistant for Triple Threat Dance Convention across Canada.

In her free time, Kiara focuses on spending time with family and loved ones, swimming, hiking, boxing, and cooking delicious meals – providing balance to feed her artistic journey
