Kingsley Guo is a Chinese-Canadian actor based in Toronto and NYC. He received his BFA in Theatre from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he trained at the Meisner Studio, Experimental Theatre Wing, and Stonestreet Studios’ Screen Acting Residency. He also holds double minors in Producing and Business of Entertainment from NYU Stern School of Business.
Born in Toronto and raised in Beijing, Kingsley returned to Canada at age twelve. He soon enrolled in his first drama class to improve his English and regain confidence. There, he discovered the power of his voice and developed a deep passion for acting and singing. Shaped by an international upbringing, he brings a global, open-minded perspective that fuels his acting work, allowing him to approach every role with curiosity, empathy, and nuance. He is fluent in Mandarin, which allows him to authentically represent stories requiring bilingual or cultural accuracy.
Kingsley began fencing competitively at the age of seven, he is a former Chinese National Champion and member of Team Ontario. His athletic background instilled a rigorous work ethic and sharpened both his physical and mental tenacity, qualities that directly support his work on screen and stage alike.
Most recently, Kingsley starred as Joe Mitchell in Waiting for Lefty, directed by Lucille Lortel Award winner nicHi douglas, as part of NYU Tisch Drama’s 50th Anniversary Main Stage Season. He also made his feature film debut in The Man I Love directed by Sundance winner Ira Sachs, starring Academy Award winner Rami Malek.
A self-professed meme connoisseur and drag aficionado, Kingsley previously served as Executive Assistant to RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Nymphia Wind and has managed numerous drag productions within NYC’s vibrant drag scene.
