Leah Thomas

Leah Thomas is a technically trained, Toronto-based artist who works professionally as a Dancer, Teacher, Actor, and Choreographer. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours in Dance and a Consecutive Education Degree in the Primary/Junior Division from York University. Currently a Principal Dancer with RWS Global’s StepOne Dance Company, Leah tours internationally with
Holland America Line, performing in a wide range of dance styles across Europe, Asia, South America, North America and the Caribbean. Over her four-years with RWS Global, Leah has thrived in key leadership roles including Show Supervisor, Dance Captain, and Company Manager demonstrating her strong organizational, professional and team management skills.

Leah has also branched into the television and film industry, with appearances on major networks such as CBC, BET+, Paramount+, and CBS. Notably, she was featured as a Stardust Dancer in Canada’s Emmy-nominated series The Porter, directed by Charles Officer and R.T. Thorne, and appeared in Season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. In 2020, Leah starred in the Tony Award- winning musical After Midnight, choreographed by Warren Carlyle and assisted by Jason Sparks, completing over 130 performances during her eight-month contract with Norwegian Cruise Line. Earlier she served as Co-Captain and Dancer for Raptors 905 Saugacity Dancers, performing high energy Jazz Funk and Hip Hop routines for NBA G League games.

Leah continues to expand her artistic range through training with renowned educators such as Kaela Faloon, John Ottman, Shavar Blackwood, Christina Digiuseppe and David Norsworthy. Additional performance credits include; Christina Digiuseppe’s works Exyst and Mizpah, Echo Dance Company’s Breaking Formality, and Shavar Blackwood’s Euphoria with Eye Candy Production. Along with frequent appearances at Toronto showcases such as; Fever After Dark, Choreographer’s Ball, and the Young Creators Challenge. Before her professional career, Leah trained for 14 years at a competitive dance studio in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, acrobatics, musical theatre, and hip hop, earning distinction in RAD Grades 1–8 and winning numerous awards and scholarships at prestigious competitions including The Dance Awards, Tremaine, and Artists Simply Human.

As a passionate Academic Educator and Competitive Dance Instructor in the Greater Toronto Area, Leah is committed to mentoring the next generation of dancers. Over the years, she has helped students achieve their goals and win top competitive titles, while ensuring every class ends with growth, confidence, and joy. Whether onstage, on screen, or in the studio, Leah continues to bring artistry, professionalism, technical expertise and heart to every opportunity and looks forward to what’s next in her evolving journey through the Entertainment Industry.
