Lisa Stevens


Lisa Stevens (she/her) is an internationally acclaimed director, choreographer, and intimacy coordinator with over 30 years of professional experience. Lisa has been proud to work with actors and dancers from a variety of backgrounds both in Canada and abroad.

As an Ottawa-born, biracial artist, Lisa brings personal and professional knowledge to her role as an Intimacy Coordinator. Recognized by SAG/AFTRA’s Intimacy Coordination List of Registered ICs, Lisa has certified herself through accredited institutes such as IDC (Intimacy Directors and Coordinators), Mental Health First Aid ( Johns Hopkins University) and in Anatomy & Physiology (Langara College), to name a few. She has studied a plethora of IC pedagogy through professionals such as Lizzy Talbot (Bridgerton), Chelsea Pace and Laura Rikard (TIE), and Amy Schachter (HBO), and is continually expanding and honing her skills required in an ever-changing world. Lisa is an LGBTQIA+ ally and is committed to maintaining a safe, consensual, and joyful environment for all creatives to work within.

Lisa has worked consistently on Broadway and in the UK’s West End as Director and Choreographer, with her most recent hit being Dolly Parton presents 9 to 5, The Musical! Lisa is featured in the upcoming documentary film Still Working 9 to 5, alongside Allison Janney, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Jane Fonda, which supports and explores equality in the workplace.

Her work has brought Lisa international acclaim, resulting in her being inducted into UNESCO’S CID as a prominent individual in dance, winning an Emmy Award nomination for Dreaming of a Jewish Christmas (Riddle Films/CBC).
