Mackenzie Barbeau

ACTRA

Mackenzie Barbeau (she/her) is a Toronto-based performer with a strong passion for storytelling, rooted in her background in dance. She began training at a young age and quickly fell in love with performing, developing a deep appreciation for both movement and character. 

She trained in Acting for Camera and Voice at Seneca College and continues to study with coaches, including Suzanne Bastien and Steven Yaffee. Alongside her acting training, Mackenzie has a strong foundation in voice and music and has trained extensively in dance through programs such as Intrepid Dance Company and mentorship with Jordan Clark. 

Mackenzie is best known for her series regular role on The Next Step (Seasons 9 and 10) and has also appeared in Vought Rising for Sony/Amazon. Her experience spans television and live performance, including work with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Toronto Fringe Festival, and performances with artist Rêve. With training in a wide range of styles, including ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theatre, she brings a strong sense of movement and adaptability to her work. 

Fluent in English and French, Mackenzie also has skills in acrobatics, contortion, gymnastics, and is a trained mezzo soprano (F3 to F5). 

Mackenzie continues to train and pursue opportunities across film, television, and live performance, driven by her love of the craft and a genuine enjoyment of performing both on camera and on stage.
