Mariah Jarvis
ACTRA APPRENTICE
Mariah Jarvis, born and raised in Brampton, is a professional dancer currently based in Toronto, Ontario. Mariah began her artistic training at the age of six, culminating with a Regional Arts Program Certificate from St. Thomas Aquinas. Mariah is a versatile dancer with experience in multiple genres including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical. She has trained under industry leaders, attending Rock The Industry with Luam Keflezgy, Eye Candy with Shavar Blackwood, and NuLimit with Leon Blackwood.
Mariah has performed at a myriad of events including Toronto Pride alongside Tynomi Banks in season one for Canada’s Drag Race, Fever After Dark, and the “Dare to Wear Love” fashion show under the direction of Scott Fordham. She also was a dancer in the 22ndnd Annual Marty’s awards, performing Bollywood choreography by Puja Amin. Mariah performed in Duality Entertainment’s Elektric City Show, celebrating the music of Ciara and J.Lo.
Mariah has extensive experience in the TV and video realm, appearing in Netflix series “Self Made,” as well as Disney Movie SPIN. She also danced on NBC show, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” with Luther Brown and Mandy Moore. Mariah has worked closely with high profile choreographers including Leon Blackwood, Scott Fordham, Caroline Torti, Christian Vincent, Luther Brown, Mandy Moore, and Hani Abaza.
Presently, Mariah does freelance performance work in the Toronto area while continuing to diversify her artistic voice via workshops and conventions across Canada and the US
