Mark Ezekiel Rivera

Mark Ezekiel Rivera is a multi-talented 16-year-old Filipino-Canadian known for his work as an actor, singer-songwriter, and musician, hailing from Scarborough, Ontario. His acting career includes playing Ritche Perez in CBC’s original comedy series “Son Of A Critch” for its first four seasons, based on the book by Mark Critch of “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” fame.  He was nominated for Outstanding Ensemble Cast for Son Of A Critch in the 44th Young Artist Academy Awards.

In addition to acting, Mark Ezekiel has been a part of “HEY MEISHA!” Season 2, a YESTV, Castle TV, and YouTube-based biblical teaching variety show called “Good New Kids.” Here, he combines his love for music and entertainment with sharing spiritual messages.

He attended several drama schools including Milne Acting Studio, Armstrong Acting Studio, LeBlanc School of Acting and Toronto Academy of Acting For Film and Television. He also received private coaching from Charactors Theatre Troupe.

 Mark Ezekiel’s journey in music began at age 7 with formal training in voice and piano. He achieved notable successes early, winning awards and scholarships at the New Conservatory of Music, and even becoming the youngest semi-finalist in a singing contest by Jon Santos. His musical talents extend to songwriting, with several of his original songs like “Ambitions,” “Chanson Pour Toi,” and “We Will Rise,” all of which are available on music streaming platforms. 

His accolades aren’t confined to music and acting; Mark Ezekiel also excels in martial arts, holding a 1st Dan black belt in Taekwondo. Academically, he’s a distinguished student, fluent in French and English, and has received numerous awards for his academic and leadership skills, including a Merit Award in the UCMAS National Level Competition.
