Matthieu Handfield

Matthieu Handfield is a graduate of the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec and Sheridan College in Toronto (Bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre). He has been active on the professional stage as a dancer, singer, and actor since the age of 16. His stage credits include Mary Poppins, Fame, The Addams Family, Waitress, and Tootsie. On television, he appeared as a soloist in the first season of Révolution, and has been featured in Chanteurs Masqués, En direct de l’univers(Céline Dion special), Les Dieux de la Danse, A Nutcracker Christmas (Hallmark), and the first two seasons of Ginny & Georgia (Netflix). In 2022, he danced alongside Michael Bublé at Toronto’s Coca-Cola Coliseum and simultaneously played the lead role of Wilfred in the immersive experience Bridgerton: The Queen’s Ball. Matthieu aims to merge his acting background with his dance abilities to continue contributing to large-scale theatrical and cinematic productions—both as a performer and a creator.
