Lauren Maynard

Lauren Maynard caught the dance bug with her first ballet class at 3 years old and has developed that love into a professional career in arts and entertainment spanning over a decade. Born on Vancouver Island in Canada, she trained extensively in jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, tap, hip hop, commercial jazz, musical theatre, and cabaret.  For years, she shared her dance enthusiasm and expertise, training and performing internationally. Her passion for entertaining led her to opportunities with Amazon, Disney, Netflix, and as a featured dancer in Whistler for the 2010 Olympic Medal Ceremony Concerts where she shared a stage with Usher, Estelle, and One Republic, to name a few. It didn’t take long for her work as a performer to lead her to teaching where she quickly became a resident faculty member and training program director at Canada’s renowned Harbour Dance Centre. Since then, she has established a successful career as an esteemed choreographer and movement coach, developing creative works for other performers ranging from pop artists to opera singers. 

Eventually, dance led her to acting, where she discovered and fell quickly in love with a whole new form of artistic expression.  She has since had the opportunity to work as an actor in many productions for TV, film, commercials, and stage, where her heart-forward approach to storytelling engenders compelling, vulnerable, and dynamic characters. Lauren’s skills and passion across the artistic spectrum lend themselves invaluably to everything from coaching to creating original work, and she promotes exploration, self-expression, and inclusivity for all.
