Merewyn Comeau is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations in “Vancouver, B.C.”
Having graduated from Capilano University’s Musical Theatre Program, Merewyn’s primary focus is in Musical Theatre, Indigenous Theatre, and Theatre for Young Audiences. Select credits include: Echoes of the Homesick Heart (Western Canada Theatre – World Premiere), Th’owxiya: The Hungry Feast Dish (Axis Theatre), Elephant and Piggie’s “We Are in a Play!” (Carousel Theatre), Les Filles du Roi (Urban Ink/Fugue Theatre – World Premiere), Sedna (Urban Ink/Caravan Farm Theatre – World Premiere), and Cabaret (Raincity Theatre).
As of 2020, Merewyn’s career has expanded to include Film/T.V and V.O. Recent credits include: Secrets of the Morning (Lifetime), Julie and the Phantoms (Netflix), Stories That Transform Us (Urban Ink), and Theatre to Film adaptations: Les Filles du Roi and Th’owxiya: The Hungry Feast Dish.
