Mia Macciocchi
Non- Union
Mia Seraphina Macciocchi is a powerhouse dancer and compassionate soul who has a strong work ethic and a passion for creating and performing. She has most recently performed as a dancer for Miss Universe Canada and represented Canada at the Dance World Cup in Prague, Czechia, 2024. Mia has natural stand-out abilities in tap and hip hop, as well as a smile and persona to win a crowd over wherever she goes.
Mia’s experience with Five Star Dance Company has seen her headlining dance performances at Mexican resorts. As well, she continues to receive numerous awards and scholarships in the dance world, fueling her desire to perform on stage and on screen. She won a bronze medal with her World Performers Canada hip hop group in Prague, and she is currently finishing the last year of the All Saints Arts & Media program for which she has choreographed and been a performer at many showcases over the past six years.
Mia’s dance training began over 10 years ago and includes dances of all genres: tap, hip hop, jazz, acro, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, and ballet. She has completed exams in Cecchetti (ballet) and Acrobatic Arts (acro) with high distinctions. She is also a dance teacher at Protégé Dance Company and has taught her students tap, jazz, and ballet for the past two years. Mia currently takes singing lessons and enjoys singing as part of an ensemble.
Mia is fun-loving and seeks to please and entertain those around her. She taught herself the ukulele and loves to learn new songs. She is also quite proud of her ability to whistle! Mia is athletically gifted: she can skate, play many sports, swim for days, and stand (and walk) on her hands for what seems like hours! She is always interested in learning new things and can pick up the skills quite easily.
All the Macciocchis were born to perform in one way or another and Mia definitely holds her own in the household. Mia has a very supportive family with two parents and three siblings. Coming from a diverse background of Indian and Italian, Mia has had many family values instilled in her from a young age: inclusivity, caring and understanding, honesty and respect, to name a few. These family values have seen Mia make her family stop on more than one occasion to lend a hand and look out for those less fortunate along the way. Mia’s family will always be her biggest cheerleaders.
Mia is currently training to compete with World Performers Dance at the Dance World Cup in Spain, 2025. She is also finishing her last official year as a dancer at her studio, where she continues to train and perform in all dance genres.
Mia has set her goals on being a lifelong performer. The stage calls to her and she makes the stage come alive. She is also hoping to add more acting opportunities to the list as her facial expressions can tell a thousand stories, her body movements can captivate a million eyes, and her natural charisma will please audiences for years to come.
